Seren is our merle/harlequin miniature pinscher. Seren is a little red merle harlequin Pinscher. She is the product of a long term breeding project aimed at bringing the harlequin pattern back into the miniature pinscher breed of today. She was bred by Nancy Andersen of Running Ridge kennels. She came to us very well socialized, and full of vim and vinegar. The merle harlequin patterning in her coat is best seen in certain lighting. Seren has been tested for mps vi, and is normal (clear). Testing date 03.10.2009. To date only 470 miniature pinschers have been tested for this genetic disorder. If you look closely at this photo you are able to see a bit more of Seren's pattern. It is still faint, but I suspect it may darken with age.
